Thottbot Legends' Party Buffs!

Postby Steamboy » Tue Apr 19, 2011 10:03 am

Can we put together a list of buffs that are available from each of our toons? For example, since we have a few priests, we have a +stam buff. And Omu has his totems (although I don't know what they all do), etc. I'm trying to better understand what everyone is bringing to the party.

Das (Druid) has Mark of the Wild as well as a 5% haste buff (for everyone) from Moonkin form.

Akosi (Paladin) has Blessing of Kings and Blessing of Might I can only use one of those at a time. I also have my Auras, once again only one at a time (both are per paladin though)

Auras are

Devotion Aura
Retribution Aura
Concentration Aura
Crusader's Aura
Resistance Aura

I'll never use Kings if a druid is in the party since MoTW will cancel it out. I'll always use Might in that case. Otherwise it's a toss up. Most of the time I'll use Retribution Aura since it provides a little extra threat.

I'm just going to copy bits of my healing Shaman guide:

Earth Totems
    - Strength of Earth: This totem gives 549 Strength and Agility. However, note if you have a Death Knight in party, as it does not stack with Horn of Winter which gives the same effect.
    - Stoneskin: This totem gives 1150 armour and is useful against physical damage. Particularly useful for the tank which indirectly helps you by healing less. This is my default Earth totem.

Fire Totems
    - Flametongue: This should be the default totem to drop and dropped right before the start of a battle. The Spell Power increase is quite beneficial to all casters in party/raid.

Water Totems
    - Mana Spring: Restores X amount of mana every 2 seconds for 5 minutes.
    - Healing Stream: Restores X amount of health every 2 seconds for 5 minutes.
    - Tranquil Mind: Reduces the time to cast when being damaged by 30%.
    - Elemental Resistance: Increases Fire, Frost and Nature resistance within 30 yards.
    - Mana Tide: Increases Spirit of all members within 40 yards by 350% for 12 seconds or 16.8 seconds with 2 points in Totemic Focus.

Air Totems
    - Windfury: Increases attack speed of melee and ranged by 10%.
    - Wrath of Air: Increases spell haste by 5%.

Fortitude: adds stamina (Think it adds like 5100 HP, not exact)

Power Word:Shield absorbs damage and heals for a time (Cast once per player, not a entire party buff)

Das, how do you know how much MY Fortitude does?
It can vary a little from player to player.
Are you using the general, or did you look up my info specifically?
Just curious. But thanks.

At 85 Power Word: Fortitude grants 584 stamina. Stamina provides 1 health per stamina for the first 20 points of stamina, and 10 health per point of stamina thereafter (from Wowpedia). 584*10= 5840

SB- about halfway down on the comments for Fort there's a great map of buffs.

Oh, that's great. Thanks.

My DK has

Abomination 's Might http://www.wowhead.com/spell=53138, which increases AP, and
Horn of Winter http://www.wowhead.com/spell=57330, which does the same thing as the Shaman's Strength of Earth.

My Rogue has:

nothing

Focus Magic - Increase crit on caster, can only be cast on one party member but when that caster crits I get an increase in my crit as well.

Arcane *** - Don't remember exactly the name but all party members get some increase in damage.

A variety of foods, potions and lotions ;-)

I forgot about Arcane Brilliance. This is a mana and sp boost.

I was actually thinking of Arcane Tactics. It is one of the talents in the arcane tree. It gives a 3% damage boost to all party/raid members.

I'm looking at the +549 Agility/AP from the Earth totem and am looking at how much gear/gems/enchants is required for that, and I am thinking "wow, that's a nice totem." Even if Stoneskin is your default, maybe you can toss one of those out every now and then :)

I can do that, since Horn of Winter only lasts 2 minutes (3 with glyph) and unless you remember to cast the ability every time, it's a good way to give the party the consistent buff. For your rogue, it would be very useful.

Actually, I have lately been using Strength of Earth more. It really depends on the party's setup.

Yeah, I guess Earth is more of an "offensive" totem, and Stoneskin more "defensive" so it would depend on what is needed for that particular run.

Steamboy's agility is 2392 buffed, but it will go up when I get him some better gear and hit 85. His AP is 6619 (also will increase soon). Next week when I am back, I will focus on him for a while. If we need a second tank for anything, I will jump on Blackavar, but for DPS I want to play Steamboy.

Yup, plus we need a Rogue to level to 85 to get the "A Class Act" guild achievement. ^_^

I have Arcane Brilliance, Focus Magic, and Arcane Tactics. In Frost I think I give replenishment.
