Does anyone know if you can change the order that the party shows up visually in the GUI? If I am healer I want it to be
tank F2
dps F3
dps F4
dps F5

but sometime the tank is in another spot.

I think you'll need an addon to do this.

By deafult f1 would just be the first name plate below your portrait, then f2 would be the one below that and so on, so like Das says you'll need an addon. I tried looking for a macro to target the player with tank icon and couldn't find anything.

I once got a macro where you could hover your mouse over a nameplate and it would heal that target (to save clicking between different party members =P) so if you want help setting something like that up just ask, but I'll keep looking for something that can target specific roles.

Thanks. I'll see if healbot will let me do this. I find that I sometimes lose track of who the tank is when he is not in spot 1, even though it is clear if I look.

There are healing addons that will do everything, except stop healing the guy who is always standing in crap, and deserves to die... but it should be out by next patch.

Or, like he mentioned, Hog could help you out. A targeting macro shouldn't be too hard, so if you don't catch him on, I can probably help.
